How To Use 911

Call 911 for any police, fire or medical emergency requiring the immediate assistance of a Police Officer, Fire Fighter or EMS Professional.

In a crisis... seconds count! It can mean the difference between life or death.

How to Use 911

1) If you call from any telephone, listen for the dial tone, then dial 911. You do not have to deposit a coin in a pay phone.
2) When you reach the emergency 911 dispatcher, give the location from which you are calling and describe the nature of the problem.
3) Stay calm - do not hang up. Stay on the line until directed otherwise. Provide the dispatcher with as much information as possible about the emergency.

Please Remember:

911 is an emergency number and should not be used for non-emergency purposes. Abuse of 911 may delay someone else's access to emergency.
